L37-KASA was selected from a group of thirteen Bay Area developers for the purchase and development of a 6-acre Transit Oriented Development site on El Camino Real owned by the City of South San Francisco. Our winning development proposal consisted of three buildings comprised of 158 affordable residential units and 642 market-rate units, a childcare center for 70-100 children, a 13,000 square foot retail market hall and significant landscape and infrastructure improvements.
L37-KASA built an expert team to help create what will be SSF’s most significant residential development and the first phase of the City’s El Camino Real Area Plan. KASA brought in L37 Partners and Brookfield Residential as the majority equity partner. We partnered with PalCare, a childcare operator that will lease and managed the childcare, and SFMade, a non-profit that will assist in designing and leasing the production and retail market hall. BRIDGE Housing will be our partner to take the 20% affordable housing that is proposed as part of the project.
The Project was fully entitled in 2020 with construction expected to start in 2024.
