The Swiss Consulate

The Swiss Consulate of San Francisco and their private non-profit partners, Swissnex San Francisco planned a relocation to a new 35,000 square foot office inside the historic Pier 17 in San Francisco. The space was designed to serve the Consulate’s mission as well as Swissnex’ program of offering flex workspace and resources to Swiss companies, start-ups, educators, students, and entrepreneurs-in-residence. The space was planned to be adaptable, allowing conversion from workstations to public event venue to showcase the best of Swiss and North American ideas and to create professional networking opportunities in the San Francisco Bay Area and Silicon Valley.
KASA was specifically brought on as a Project Manager because of our track record with public-private partnerships, experience with non-profits and private clients, adaptive reuse of historic buildings, and the practical knowledge of how to build on the waterfront and work with the Port of SF. KASA wrote and managed the general contractor bid, selected the architect and engineers, and managed the design and construction process.
